What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copier IT Help Desk position at GFI Digital, Inc?
Overview:
The GFI office equipment helpdesk is part of the Field IT team and is an additional resource for our MFP and MPS customers. The helpdesk team members are our first responders in IT service call process where most service calls are filtered to first and provides quick support for tasks that are not required to be onsite for.
Responsibilities:
Installing print drivers (PC or MAC)
· Typically limited to 2-3 computers per IT call placed
· Adding and setting up user codes to restrict or track print jobs
· Training end users on print driver functionality
· Setup custom folders
· Repairing and/or configuring improperly installed print drivers
· Setting up and repairing scan to email and scan to folder
Repairing printing issues non-hardware related
· Identify and resolve IP Conflicts
· Identify and resolve user code issues
· Reconfigure for new ISPs
Answering general inquiries regarding client’s equipment
· How to print envelopes
· How to retrieve user counts
· Secure printing
Training end users on proper machine function
· Mobile printing vendor specific Apps
· Changing MFP default settings (scan, copy, and fax)
· How to scan/copy specific jobs
· How to configure quick preset buttons to home screen
· Troubleshooting fax issues and dispatching Service Technician if call cannot be resolved
· Assisting end users print their complex print jobs (ex: Bulletins, Booklets)
FM Audit Support and Installation
· Install new instances for pre-existing customers
· Monitor and repair failed installations
· Work with MPS to configure auto toner ship
