About the Open Position
GHSP, a global technology organization, is currently looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Hart, Michigan. This opportunity involves researching, developing, prototyping, documenting and managing advanced process development projects for the entire Hart facility! We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring a successful launch of programs as they make their way into our operations facility for full volume production!

Valuable Job Functions:
Process Development and Design
- Develops advanced assembly techniques (DFT/DFMA) and product flow.
- Work within current Process Engineering and Lean Manufacturing.
- Provide processing input to program teams to achieve optimum product design for manufacturability.
- Participates / supports the final assembly PDP phase 2-5
- Evaluate and recommend work on assembly line design.
Investigation, Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Investigate and document wins/losses.
- Establish processes and Poke Yoke principles to error proof manufacturing processes.
- PFMEA.
- Collaborate with manufacturing during development of the PFMEA.
- Maintain accurate PFMEAs through cross-functional team involvement throughout the manufacturing life of the program, including service.
- Performs DOE analysis; determining optimum-operating parameters.
- Set standards for cell performance related to processing time, quality, and cost.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and implement improvements to ensure efficient work cell layout, process flow, work standards, etc.
Budget Preservation
- Develop, track, and monitor and control costs and objectives of assigned projects.
- Write capital justification proposals.
- Source and manage manufacturing equipment development to maintain program timing.
