What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Level Provider - NP or PA position at GI Alliance?
GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or experienced Nurse Practitioner.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position purpose
The purpose is to provide patient care assistance in a hospital or other clinical setting for scheduled rounds, under the supervision of a primary care physician.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

- Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician.
- Elicit detailed patient histories and does complete physical examinations.
- Determine tentative diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory tests.
- Counsel patient and family on health and disease.
- Adhere to the standards of medical ethics and laws governing patient care and the practice of medicine.
- Maintain in good standing licensure with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Participate in all continuing education, training and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities.
- Comply with all federal and state regulations related to position.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Work flexible schedule as dictated by business need and operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Requirement for PA : A degree from a Physician Assistant Degree program. Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Texas Board of Medical Examiners.
Education Requirement for NP: A master degree in Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Experience: Gastrointestinal experience preferred.

Equipment Operated: Standard medical and surgical instruments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Work Environment: Standard hospital, clinical and/or surgical environment. Biohazard materials may be present.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
