Counter Person
At Gia Marie's Pizzeria, we are looking for energetic and friendly individuals who can handle multitasking in a fast-paced line of work, while maintaining the cleanliness expected. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as a team member, and maintain a clean, positive work experience.
Duties:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders in person, online and over the phone and process payments using a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns
- Prepare and serve food items according to established procedures
- Upsell additional food items or specials to increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area and dining room
- Maintain stocked work stations
- Serving the dining area as needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Experience:
- Previous experience in food service preferred
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures
- POS experience
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions efficiently
- Knowledge of basic math for calculating totals, making change, etc.
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
