Industry leader in process finishing solutions, construction & conveying systems has
immediate opportunity for an Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities will include handling our customer progress billings along
with processing our subcontractor project invoices and payments through
our ERP system. This position will include other accounting duties, including
bank reconciliations and monthly tax reporting.
Responsibilities:
Contract Billings
Prepare customer invoices, schedule of values, sworn statement and
lien waivers. Ensure purchase orders are invoiced and invoiced on time.
Request Notice of Commencements and send Notice of Furnishings.
Track customer payments and monitor collections.
Subcontractor Invoices
Process subcontractor payment applications and enter into our ERP system.
Review subcontractor sworn statement and collect lien waivers.
Communicate with Project Managers to obtain approvals and resolve issues that arise.
Track Notice of Furnishings and obtain final lien waivers.
Collect and maintain Certificates of Insurance from vendors, and monitor
expiration dates.
Process payments for subcontractors.
Local/State Filings and Other Duties
Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other miscellaneous documents, with various local and state governments.
Monthly insurance reporting.
Provide year end support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconcilement.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or applicable major required and/or experience in construction accounting.
Familiarity with AIA documents, lien waivers, change orders, schedule of values, construction agreements, and job costing.
Experience with Infor/Syteline ERP system a plus.
Experience with Accounts Payable and Purchase Orders.
Knowledge of Payroll.
Strong organization skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
Must be proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook applications.
