What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donation Receiver position at Gift & Thrift?
Gift & Thrift is seeking a full-time Donation Receiver who enjoys working with people and whose responsibilities include:
- available to work weekdays and Saturdays, typically 9-5 or 8:30-4:30
- receive and pre-sort incoming donations
- assist donors and customers who come to the dock area to pick up large items
- assemble/disassemble objects (i.e. furniture to be loaded into vehicles)
- operate a pallet jack and hand truck
- provide customer service
- work cooperatively with other staff and volunteers
- be willing to work Saturdays
- able to stand and lift throughout shift
- follow directions, learn work flow, work well independently
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and over 100 pounds occasionally.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
