What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Effectiveness Manager position at Gilbarco?

The Sales Effectiveness Manager will enhance the productivity and impact of the customer facing teams, as well as ensure strategy & tactics align to the needs of the business. They will also manage the sales training experience (development & execution), and experience working closely with senior commercial leaders to support & evaluate the effectiveness of customer facing teams. The Sales Effectiveness Manager will be responsible for driving key strategic projects in the areas of Sales Force Effectiveness and partner with sales, marketing, and operations to recommend, develop & execute Salesforce improvement programs across all customer facing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Salesforce CRM platform and develop appropriate commercial dashboards to increase usage and adoption.
  • Deliver customer insights and make recommendations by performing data analyses and post activity evaluations.
  • Responsible for identifying different customer profiles and carrying out the optimization of CRM/marketing activities by defining market sectors and customer selection based on customer profiling and segmentation.
  • Responsible for identifying key trends and factors influencing customer behavior (customer survey, etc.) and incorporating into next generation feature and functionality.
  • Conduct assessment of CRM programs and serve as a custodian of customer database, and responsible for the maintenance and management of customer data to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly reporting of key sales metrics.
  • Support in the measurement and analyzing of data to generate reports in support of key customers metrics.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement quality and efficient improvements to CRM processes.
  • Help ensure company commercial and compliance processes are adhered to.
  • Develop onboarding program & materials to support ongoing training across all customer facing teams.
  • Develop assessments to identify gaps in people, processes, and plans; provide recommendations to help with these areas to sales leaders.
  • Recommend areas to optimize and ensure effective & efficient execution across all customer facing teams.
  • Support the high-performance commercial culture with recommendations for future improvements.
  • Ensure consistency in sales force processes and day to day activities to improve accuracy of sales analytics.
  • Provide clear reporting tools to the field sales team for visibility to pipeline health, gap to quota and market trending using CRM and ERP datasets.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • At least 5 years of commercial experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM platform including analytics, custom objects and dashboard construction
  • Demonstrated experience planning, designing, and implementing Salesforce Improvement solutions.
  • Skilled in communicating complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Strong written, presentation, creative and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities, follow-through, attention to detail and timeliness.
