We are looking for a bright and dynamic front office patient services front office coordinator who can thrive in a fast paced environment. This individual will need the ability to navigate efficiently in a high volume office environment that treats 70 patients on a daily basis while being able to answer high call volumes and still provide superior customer service to all individuals.

Title: Patient Services Front Office Coordinator

Qualifications:

1.High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred

2.Strong computer skills required; email, Microsoft Word, Excel, knowledge of medical practice management and EMR systems

3.Must be punctual, reliable, adaptable, and take direction well

4.Problem solving, critical thinking and decision making in a customer service environment preferred; must be able to organize and prioritize

5.Previous customer service experience is desirable

6.Previous orthopedic experience is a plus

7.Ability to work independently

Job Goals:

To ensure a smooth, efficient, customer service experience for all patients/individuals that step foot into Gilbert Neurology. The Patient Services Coordinator is often the 'first impression' a patient has of Gilbert Neurology. This role provides administrative support and coordination of patient care for both new and/or established patients.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following;

1.Professionally greets and welcomes patients and their friends/family, and the general public

2.Checks in patients and informs clinical staff of patient arrival

3.Collects/calculates co-pay and co-insurance amounts from patients

4.Provides and explains paperwork to patients prior to examination. Collects, proofs for completeness, and scans/files patient forms. Updates demographics and insurance information in the system.

5.Answers, screens, and directs all incoming calls to appropriate personnel relaying messages between patients and clinical staff. Answers all phone calls in a prompt, courteous, professional manner.

6.Answers, screens, and responds to routine questions via phone, electronic communications, or face to face contact, routes to appropriate personnel, or take thorough messages. Pages clinic personnel as appropriate. Communicates messages in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures.

7.Schedules incoming patients, including incoming patient referrals

8.Sorts incoming faxes

9.Maintains punctual and regular attendance

10.Demonstrates the ability to perform duties under stress while interacting with patients, parents, co-workers, and the general public

11.Organize and ensure waiting room/front office is presentable to the public

12.Open and close front office

13.Return patient calls from our voice mail queue

14.Verify patient benefit eligibility

15.Process medical records requests

16.Organize office supply closet

17.Strives to maintain and improve professional competence

18.Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
