Description
The Contractor will play a pivotal role in providing front desk reception support, information, and referral services at the McConnell AFB Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC). This position demands a comprehensive understanding of military family support programs and exceptional skills to handle various responsibilities outlined in this Performance Work Statement.
Duties:
· Provide information about the M&FRC and the base community to customers.
· Handle multiple phone calls and walk-in duties with a calm, confident, and professional demeanor.
· Seek necessary information to perform duties efficiently.
· Greet and direct customers to specific destinations within the center.
· Answer calls directly to avoid voicemail whenever possible, and check voicemail/messages promptly.
· Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment at all times.
· Set up and maintain workshop registrations, and assist customers with online registration.
· Track and document daily walk-in/call-in customer numbers.
· Schedule daily one-on-one customer appointments and perform data entry for workshop attendance and other utilization data.
· Develop, maintain, and update in-house referral tools.
· Ensure all materials in the front lobby are updated and replenished regularly.
· Sort and deliver staff mail daily.
· Complete customer transactions such as program voucher issuance and equipment checkout.
· Perform a quarterly physical inventory of office inventory.
· Provide minor technical help to Discovery Center visitors.
· Maintain confidentiality of all individual and family data.
· Prohibit removal of customer information from the M&FRC.
· Provide reception support during standard duty hours in the event of Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) activation.
· Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and front lobby.
· Serve as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the M&FRC lobby based on the agreed-upon work schedule.
Requirements
· Must be able to obtain CAC for access to installation and necessary computer systems.
· Recognize and acknowledge clientele with awareness of military hierarchy and protocol.
· Work effectively with a diverse clientele.
· Basic understanding of military protocol and Air Force Terminology.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to work with a diverse population.
· Above-average oral communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer software applications.
· Ability to maintain/update simple web-based scheduling and data entry systems.
· Military Air Force Spouse or Military Air Force Veteran Preferred.
· Upon hire, the contractor will be required to complete initial and refresher mission-essential computer-based training.
