Giorgi Mushroom has the following opportunity available at our Blandon location for a Harvest Supervisor.
The Harvest Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of harvest operations on a mushroom farm. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities in both English and Spanish, and a commitment to safety and quality.
The “harvest supervisor” position is an hourly position working around 52 hours weekly. Each work week includes one weekend day. Work hours normally starts at 5:00 a.m. Finish time 3:00 p.m. The starting and ending times may sometimes change depending on daily production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise harvest activities and personnel.
- Ensure that harvest tasks are performed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, within designated timeframes.
- Assist in the completion of daily estimates and order planning to ensure timely delivery of fresh mushrooms
- Coordinate the scheduling, movements, and logistics of each harvest group to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Transport harvesters between different harvest locations as needed.
- Maintain awareness of supply flow in work areas to support uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain adherence to company safety and food safety regulations at all times, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment and food safety equipment.
- Participate in regular training meetings for harvest personnel.
- Establish clear communication channels with all harvest personnel to ensure accuracy, timely completion, and quality of work.
- Monitor harvest crews to promote safe and efficient work practices, taking responsibility for the safety of all workers.
- Communicate any concerns or adverse conditions to the Harvest manager
Education/Experience
- Valid driver’s license and must be insurable through company vehicle program.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Specific training in agricultural business administration is highly preferred.
- Must have at least 1 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate orally (English & Spanish).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal along with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities; must be a team player

Physical/Mental Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Walk, kneel, bend, lift and carry
- Lift up to 35 pounds
- Stoop and twist at the waist
- Have the stamina for a vigorous physical workload over 10-hour shifts
- Work in nighttime conditions
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements.
