The Director of Youth Development reports to the Executive Director of Hoosier Girl Coalition (HGC) and is responsible for relationship building among entities that make up a girl's ecosystem in her community. The Director is a trusted and engaged community member who reflects the values, language, and customs of the community. This role has a background in positive youth development, trauma-informed practices, and effective implementation of out-of-school activities for youth.
This position is responsible for delivering programs and creating opportunities for girls and families which have been crafted based on Girl Scout proven practices and positive youth development research. The role serves in a supportive capacity to the HGC Executive Director, ensuring community members are actively engaged in Hoosier Girl Coalition initiatives and that community and girl voice is meaningfully represented at the planning table.
