What are the responsibilities and job description for the Startup Program Operations Lead position at GitHub?
GitHub for Startups helps startups go from seed funding to unicorn status on the world's largest and most advanced software development platform. We do this by working with leading investors, accelerators, and startup support organizations to bring the best of GitHub to their respective portfolios.
As the Startup Program Operations Lead, you’ll help to lead and shape end-to-end operations for the program as we scale GitHub for Startups globally. You will drive our strategy around metrics and data collection, own startup onboarding and conversion, and uncover opportunities to drive increased operational rigor throughout our programs. You will be part of the Market Development team within the broader Revenue organization at GitHub and will report directly to the Manager, Startup Program.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the scoping, planning, and execution of all operational processes for the GitHub for Startups Program.
- Work across Sales and Product to ensure smooth and seamless onboarding and post-program offboarding experience for in-program startups.
- Think both broadly and in great detail when problem-solving to proactively identify and flag operational risks and opportunities for the program.
- Build out and own all data collection and reporting related to program efficacy.
- Work across Product and Support for internal escalations related to in-program startups.
- Partner closely with a wide set of internal and external stakeholders, including the Startup program at Microsoft
Qualifications:
- Experience working within a startup program at a SaaS or other technology company.
- Experience collecting and incorporating data to drive both incremental and substantial process improvement and to aid in decision making.
- Experience working within a VC, Accelerator, or Incubator with a focus on program management or operations
- 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams to drive complex initiatives.
- 5 years experience in a SaaS or other technology company Operations or Project/Program Management; Consulting or Corporate Strategy experience is also applicable
- Experience with Salesforce and data analysis tools is a plus
- Ability to leverage critical thinking to improve processes and procedures
- High energy and action-oriented with a history of getting things done in complex environments
- Self-starter mentality, yet a team player with a collaborative approach
- Superior analytical skills and particular attention to detail with good business judgment
- Ability to flex the focus of work as priorities shift across the business related to this segment and our product set
(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $61,300 to maximum $130,000 bonus equity benefits.
