What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position at Giving Home Health Care?
We are seeking a nurse (RN or LVN) to care for one patient in their home in Abilene, TX for 10 hours per week.
*This is a 1099 contractor position, not a full-time position.*
Giving Home Health Care assists qualifying patients in receiving benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). This program works to provide compensation to individuals who worked in a Department of Energy (DOE) facility and consequently were exposed to toxins, radiation, and hazardous chemicals or materials that may have resulted in the development of exposure related illnesses.

Job responsibilities:
Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record. Performs patient assessments, coordination of care. Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home. Will be working with patients in a comfortable environment where the service is one-on-one. Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients.
Requirements:
Current State License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. Current CPR, First Aid, 2 step TB test, and Malpractice Insurance. Prefer one year of experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting, home health preferred. Good interpersonal skills. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
