Full Time - Day Shift - Starting Wage Dependent upon Experience - 3-5 years in Quality Control experience preferred
Primary Purpose
As part of our Quality Assurance team, you will help conduct quality checks of the Laser/Plasma/Forming operations within GK Machine's production setting as outlined by each job's engineering specifications and drawings. Must be able and understand detailed prints and work instructions, written or verbal, to maintain ISO and GK quality standards to meet customer requirements and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, monitor, and ensure all quality standards are met for parts before moving to the next step in the production process.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and checklists for all inspections or tests of every process, part, or component, both purchased or finished, that are involved in the production of a product.
- Identify each problem or issue regarding the quality of the products and make recommendations for changes for improvement.
- Request rework and/or reject parts as needed to meet quality standards.
- Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
- Label and stage parts leaving the department accordingly.
- Knowledge and understanding of production setting and cutting and forming procedures.

Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of quality control, metalworking, and performing inspections experience or in a related field.
- Able to read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of a wide variety of dimensional measuring equipment.
- Experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
