Job Summary
Under the direction of the Systems Integration Manager, the SI Intern will assist in the designing, testing, and troubleshooting of developmental and production electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
Maintain and monitor controls hardware / software and configurations to provide support to manufacturing. Assist the SI team in implementing and testing new technologies.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with controls and automation equipment, focusing on PLC's
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain the organization's manufacturing electronic equipment.
- Design, program, test and install control equipment for production use
- Work within data acquisition and reporting software to create and manage reports
- Interface with manufacturing to provide support for controls-related hardware and software. This may include industrial controls and networks.
- Assist with documenting standard equipment and practices
- Perform other related duties as require
Job Qualifications
Education
- Must be a student currently enrolled in an Associate / Bachelor Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering program
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
Formal Qualifications
MUST BE U.S CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in a Manufacturing or Factory Environment is preferred
- Aerospace experience preferred
- Microsoft SQL (queries & Database management) and reporting experience are preferred
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s and / or robotics is a plus.
- Must be able to use test and measurement equipment, read schematics, and technical manuals. Understand local area networks in a TCP / IP environment.
- Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
- Strong computer skills desired.

Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facilities and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
- Prolonged sitting and computer use, and have the ability to move around a manufacturing environment.
- Lift and / or move up to 25 pounds : Occasionally lifts and / or moves up to 25 pounds
