What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Staker position at GKN?
Responsibilities:
-Perform the staking operation at 90% OEE efficiency. Record results on VSM boards.
-Perform setup and complete the vital equipment logs on the staker operation as described in the procedures
-Perform Changeover and setup the staker operation within efficient timing per data collection
-Implement setup and changeover reduction techniques per actions from data collection
-Implement scrap reduction through data collection methods and controls
-Improve 5S to allow maximum efficiency during changeovers, setups, and trouble shooting situations
-Perform maintenance and troubleshooting at the staker
-Complete symmetry and JAT measurements as required in procedures
-Other duties as assign by Coordinator, Facilitator, or Manager
Minimum Requirements:
Have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Have demonstrated mechanical/technical ability.
- Have demonstrated gauging and measuring ability.
- Be proficient in math and reading.
- Excellent verbal communications required.
- Should be able to work independently under minimum instruction.
Other Requirements:
Be physically capable of performing all of the above duties and repetitive hand motions.
- Possess strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Have a good attitude and show initiative.
- Display good team working skills, adaptability to change and a willingness to learn new technology.
- Be involved in an ongoing technical training or educational program to improve/broaden skill base.
