What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Leader Systems Management position at GKN?
Lead of Systems Management team in order to ensure system development management for the life of the project, in-line with the GKN ASPICE® compliant process for eDrive and AWD systems. Take care of all technical issues including technical risks and deliver content in time. Ensure product release and project planning, risk management and reporting. Enable the development team members to understand and implement the customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Create, maintain and implement a structured systems management team according to development processes which meets the requirements of GKN ASPICE and ISO26262
Exchange information with other team-leader to achieve alignment and common ways of working
Actively support definition and implementation of GKN standards and common tools
Ensure transparency on progress of programmes, escalation and efficient information flow internally and externally
Apply lean methods in order to support GKN strategies, innovation and product development on time, on quality and on cost
Create standards, guidelines and procedures to manage systems from technical point of view
Contribute actively in winning new businesses
Ensure required team-member capabilities and support development of essential competencies and qualifications through coaching and trainings
Ensure that headcount reflects business priorities and resource requirements
Adhere to the GKN policy and report concerns immediately
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Degree: Bachelors / Masters in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics) / Physics or similar
Several years of experience in team management of bigger projects
5 years Engineering experience in Automotive
2 years leadership experience (line or project with minimum 5 reports)
Experience in developing essential competencies
Experience in the use of management tools like PTC Integrity.
Knowledge in automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and Automotive Spice.
Proven communication, teamwork and organizational talents.
Familiar with powertrain / drivetrain technologies
Skilled handling of customers and suppliers
Organizational talent
Compliance matrix and RFQ handling competency
Experience of working in Continuous Integration & Deployment environment
Must be fluent in English
Must be able to work and travel independently
