Glass City Federal Credit Union is looking for a part time Mortgage Loan Specialist to join our team!

Primary duties include to assist the lending team from the beginning of the loan process to the end. Serve as a back up to mortgage loan processor/closer.

Establish and maintain contact with the borrowers throughout the mortgage loan process. Prepare potential borrowers for what is needed and expected throughout the mortgage process. Schedule appointments, as necessary. Provide the support necessary to move the loan file forward.

Accurately input application information into the loan origination system. Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED). College coursework in related field preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years of mortgage processing work experience within the financial services industry is required.

  • A minimum of two years mortgage processing experience and/or training in mortgage lending is required. An emphasis on the secondary market is preferredExcellent PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Mortgage Loan Origination System, and other applicable programs.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Knowledgeable of and able to communicate with members about credit reports, credit histories, risk-based lending scores, values of collateral, liens, credit union policies and procedures, and loan decisions.
