The Glassdoor Technical Services group is a product operations team within the Customer Success Department. Advertising Operations Managers (Display Operations Managers) are the key technical consultant for our customers and internal partners. They provide technical mentorship from pre-sale to product launches and address technical problems that arise throughout the life of our partnerships. This team is crucial to the customer experience, crafting & relying upon strong cross-functional partnerships with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and many more.
Specifically, the Glassdoor Display Operations team is a team within the Technical Services function which specializes in the management of operations for our Brand Ads & programmatic products. The team serves as a resource for the business to ensure operational health of Glassdoor’s Display business.
In this role, responsibility would consist of understanding our customers’ business requirements and adapting the technical configuration of our display products to meet their needs. Your work begins before implementation, providing consultation on successful setup requirements and offering recommendations on how to optimize the audiences for customer display campaigns. You serve as a key resource for display product knowledge and implement campaigns using various internal and third-party systems. You will set up products, ensuring campaigns have healthy delivery. After implementation, this position will analyze, understand, and resolve diverse technical issues using creative and inventive problem-solving, and partnering with engineering & product as needed.
Lastly, in this position, you'll play a critical role in driving innovation by finding opportunities to create efficiencies in quality implementations, improve product health, and deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
This role is for an individual contributor reporting to the Manager of Technical Services.
Compensation: $78,000.00 - $97,000.00

- Tier 2 encompasses salary ranges 15% less than those in Tier 1 for states with mid-sized cities (ie: Chicago, Dallas, Portland, etc)
- Tier 3 encompasses salary ranges 20% less than those in Tier 1 for states with smaller cities (including our Ohio office, Nevada, etc)

Responsibilities
- Serve as the systems and product knowledge specialist for display operations and processes, providing the best possible customer experience for external clients and internal customers
- Possess a detailed understanding of commonly used third-party ad serving tools
- Take part in team goals and SLAs for implementing/trafficking display campaigns for all levels of clients (75-90% of work)
- Investigate and resolve complicated technical product or system issues within target SLAs
- Independently own relationships with different members of Go To Market (GTM) team regarding employer display campaigns
- Play a major role in other operational work on the Display Ops team such as Quality Assurance (QA) and campaign delivery projects
- Assist with vendor management; this includes communicating with external advertising partners about business needs and functionality of the products used
- Become deeply knowledgeable in the intricacies of the digital advertising/recruiting industry, the entire Glassdoor Display product suite, and the employers we serve
- Use product expertise and understanding of customer needs to suggest product, system, & process improvements that result in impactful changes to the team’s efficiency, client performance, and cross-team collaboration
- Proactively recognizing patterns and variances in data to troubleshoot and identify bugs, and participate in technical clean-up projects based on findings
- Utilize basic Excel functionality to prioritize solutions by analyzing data
Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Informations Systems or related field
- 3 years of proven experience in online advertising, sales operations, advertising operations and/or programmatic platforms, performing implementation and/or customer-facing functions
- Strong understanding of different advertising technologies including Google Ads Manager (formerly DFP), Display & Video 360 (formerly DBM), Salesforce (or similar CRM) and familiarity with different exchanges
- Proactive and positive self-starter who works well independently and within a team context
- Customer-centric approach, who places the internal and external customer experience at the center of their work
- Creative-minded technical problem solver with an interest for investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving difficult technical issues
- Excellent analytical problem solver who uses data to support decisions and is able to see patterns in repeated experiences and large data sets
- Outstanding communicator with the ability to analyze business problems and guide our internal partners and clients through to a solution
- Readily & easily adapts to change
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented and have awareness and judgement to prioritize different tasks and priorities
