Description
The Glavel team is looking for a dynamic individual to lead daily shift operations at our Saxon Hill manufacturing facility. Team Leads will be responsible for ensuring production deadlines are met, maintaining equipment, and tracking production metrics. Team Leads will also oversee the dock schedule, handle inbound/outbound shipments, operate manufacturing equipment, and perform quality control checks. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and mechanical aptitude are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift operations, overseeing production deadlines, task delegation, product flow, shift changes, equipment maintenance and repairs, and quality control metrics
- Manage the dock schedule, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring proper completion of order fulfillment procedures and documentation
- Operate, maintain, and monitor manufacturing equipment involved in the production of foam glass aggregate
- Utilize material handling equipment to facilitate the production and shipping processes
- Perform daily standard machine and facilities maintenance functions, including cleaning and inspection, and facility housekeeping
- Conduct quality control on finished goods
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
- Uphold and enforce all safety guidelines and procedures for good manufacturing practices
- Take initiative and make informed decisions in the absence of the Plant Manager
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required)
- Forklift/heavy equipment driving experience helpful
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Highly self-motivated with ability to work within a team
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
