Pharmacist for FCC Forrest City, Arkansas
Pay Rate: $57.00
The service will be performed in The Federal Correctional Complex (FCC). Health Service Department at FCC Forrest City, located at 1301 Dale Bumpers, Forrest City, AR 72335.
The Pharmacist will provide services for the inmates incarcerated at FCC Forrest City, located in Forrest City, AR.
Schedule: Work will be performed between the hours of 6:00 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally consisting of six (6), one (1) hour sessions per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. The facility’s need will vary based on the work requirements/requests of the Chief Pharmacist / Staff Pharmacist but is expected to require an average of 30 sessions per week.
- Job Duties:
1. Interpret physician and advanced practice provider prescription orders.
2. Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy computer and print prescription labels.
3. Select the correct medication and prepare the prescription.
4. Inventory medication and supplies.
5. Enter data for medications and supplies orders in the prime vendor computer system.
6. Maintain minimum quantities on stock items and notify the institution pharmacist of items to order.
7. File all reports pertaining to the pharmacy, including patient records.
8. Dispense, administer, and record entries for the required medication.
9. Possess a working knowledge and maintain technical computer skills pertaining to Pharmacy issues.
10. Must participate in Improving Organizational Performance Data and Quality Assurance Activities as directed by the Pharmacist or HSA.
11. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area. 1
12. Refill and inventory of Pyxis machines & utilization of Scriptpro machine for dispensing, refilling, and verification.
- Requirements:
1. Unrestricted Pharmacist license.
2. Completed an accredited program in pharmacy and be able to provide transcripts of the training leading to the degree (Possession a Bachelor or Pharm D. degree).
3. Current BLS certification.
4. Correctional experience is preferred, but not required.
