This position will operate in a hybrid work environment. 2-3 days per week in the office. Candidate will be based out of one of Glenmede’s offices, including Philadelphia, New York, Washington DC, and other regional Glenmede offices, and will be expected to spend time monthly and as needed in Philadelphia. This position will require ability and willingness to travel, as needed, up to 30%.

Overview:

This role is an outstanding opportunity for you to become a key member of a talented, highly experienced, growing Private Investments team. You will work with the Managing Directors to identify, evaluate, and monitor private equity, venture capital, and real assets managers as well as co-investment opportunities. You will complete projects around specific sectors, strategies, or geographies. You will develop long-term relationships with fund managers, limited partners, and intermediaries in the sector. You will meet with clients and prospects to identify and to help achieve portfolio construction objectives.

You will be joining a team of individuals who have the ambition to help Glenmede’s clients, including endowments, foundations, and philanthropic individuals, maximize the impact from their capital.

Responsibilities:

Investment sourcing and analysis. Identify, conduct due diligence on, and manage new and existing fund manager and co-investment opportunities. Lead the development of investment recommendations to the firm's investment committee. Remain current on industry trends, regulatory matters, and market events impacting funds, managers, clients, and the industry.

Networking and relationship building. Build/enhance a strong relationship network relevant to private equity. Participate in prospective and current client presentations. Support the creation of marketing materials.

Client service. Participate in prospective and current client meetings. Support the creation of presentations and various marketing materials. Serve as an internal point of contact for portfolio managers on all areas of private investing. Assist in development of new private investment products/solutions.

Firm building. Ability and willingness to contribute to the advancement of team, office and business capabilities. Other duties as required by the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • MBA with a strong academic record required.
  • At least 5 years of work experience with at least 2 years in principal investing, investment banking, or strategy consulting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a limited partner focused on fund investing or co-investing.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving and research abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with public speaking.
  • Ability to work both independently and within the team and across the organization in a collaborative manner. Ability to network externally.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new technology quickly.
