VP of Adult Services
Glenwood’s Vice President of Adult Services will direct, lead, and oversee a staff of 200 across all adult programs ensuring quality treatment services to our adult population based on best practices; within the guidelines of all accrediting groups (ADMH DDD, CARF, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Requires work beyond a typical 40-hour work week including participation in numerous activities and events during evening hours and weekends.
- Supervises two Directors, who are responsible for daily operations of various programs and 1 administrative assistant.
- Responsible for a staff of 200 who deliver services to more than 90 individuals in our day/vocational, in-home and 22 residential settings in Birmingham, AL with a $10.5 million budget.
- Maintain required program certification/accreditation.
- Works collaboratively with other departments and multiple teams within Glenwood, demonstrating effective communication, integrity, and regard for others.
- Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES:
- Familiarity with state regulatory agencies standards
- Must be self-motivated to operate programs efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Respect and appreciation for the people we serve, and their families is essential
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and best practice/national standards (preferred)
Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 10 years-progressive supervisory and administrative experience.
- Experience in social services or mental health setting
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to pass required background screens: criminal; educational, motor vehicle report – acceptable to agency’s insurer, clearance with AL DHR child abuse registry; ABI/FBI registry; pre-employment post-offer drug screen and physical.
