What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Host position at Glenwood's Columbia?
Glenwood's is currently seeking enthusiastic candidates to join our Host Team! We are looking for optimistic, high-energy, professional individuals to supervise and coordinate the activities of the dining room within our restaurant. Our hosts practice strong telephone and guest service etiquette, warmly greet and seat guests, and operate in the highest professional manner.

Responsibilities of our Hosts:
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner
- Ability to utilize OpenTable to secure reservations for all sizes of parties and section maintenance
- Practices complete guest service by greeting guests at entrance and thanking them upon exiting
- Possesses knowledge of food and beverages served
- Assist in cleaning and resetting of tables when necessary
- Understands mechanics of service and can arrange tables for large parties
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room, entrance (interior & exterior) restaurant throughout shift
- Ensures that there are plenty of clean menus for service period
- Appears and acts in a professional manner
- Checks with manager to properly prepare the floor for the shift
- Make sure server is aware when they have a table
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.
Your Qualifications:
- Clean and neat appearance
- Able to report to work as scheduled
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
