What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at GLO Resources LLC?
GLO Resources is currently seeking a Quality Manager (Direct Hire) for our quality team in Greenwood MS. This position will oversee daily manufacturing controls, supplier issues and corrective action resolutions as it relates to fabrication and manufacturing assemblies and units.

The ideal candidate should be able to manage their time effectively and work semi-independently as they drive for results. This position must have strong character and integrity, as well as confidence in their actions and decisions to ensure our products continue to exceed consumer expectations. Communication and focus are critical, with a solid Quality vision.
This position needs the strength to hold the quality line with engineering and manufacturing with regards to conformance to requirements and customer expectations. The candidate be proficient in APQP/PPAP systems, possess the ability to read blueprints effectively, must exhibit fluency with metrology equipment for conducting full layouts against submitted part samples, and possess the ability to fully process Layout, Capability Studies, PFMEA’s, Gage R&R’s, material certifications and Control Plan’s. Statistical Process control experience is required.
- Provide the necessary tools for quality personnel and manufacturing personnel to ensure all manufacturing controls produce units that meet outgoing quality standards for fit, function and appearance through process and product evaluation
- Supervise line and fabrication quality personnel
- Assure all essential personnel have documented training proper use of product test equipment and requirements
- Evaluate training and process effectiveness through process improvement charts
- Evaluate field issues on a monthly basis and report the top 5 defects per month to the director of quality, director of engineering and operations manager
- Stop Production if a safety issue is detected and notify the director of quality, director of engineering and operations of line stoppage.
- Propose direction for quality auditors as it pertains to product quality.
- Assure all process or product improvements maintain a safe work environment for the employees.
- Establish quality improvement goals and document the progress toward those goals.
- Eliminate waste by practicing Lean Manufacturing guidelines.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establish personal networker’s.
- Assist the Director of Quality with special assignments.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Provide direction for quality auditors as it pertains to product quality.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Engineering Degree with emphasis on quality
- Proficient in CQT, Six Sigma APQP, Data Analysis, Capability Studies and Critical Path Evaluation
- Responsible, dependable, detail oriented and professional.
- 4 years manufacturing experience.
- 2 years gas products or refrigeration products experience helpful
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Access, Word and Excel and Minitab
$75-85K with 10% bonus potential

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
