Responsibilities
- Install base poles and perform site calibrations.
- Provide daily construction staking and layout of various projects including but not limited to
Ditch and Berm Construction, Dam Construction, Reclamation, Pipe installation, etc..
- Gather topographic information for projects prior to the start of construction, during construction and after completion of the project.
- Must maintain company supplied survey equipment including ensuring that the batteries, controllers and base stations are charged daily.
- Setup and take down base stations for all survey activities including projects that are running Machine Control.
- Maintain detailed notes for all projects and work closely with the on-site supervisors and project manager to ensure the success of the project(s).
- Practice good housekeeping of all company owned vehicles/bldgs..
- Provide a professional appearance and promote the company in a positive manner.
- Must work in a safe manner and follow all the safety guidelines including but not limited to wearing the proper PPE while onsite and filling out all daily safety paperwork.

Global Contracting Group is a general contractor based out of Wildwood Florida with multiple offices throughout the SE. Currently the office in Mulberry FL is looking for an experienced Construction Surveyor to perform the day-to-day construction staking and layout activities locally for multiple earthwork projects. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and who may be interested in further growth within the company. This is a physically demanding position that will require multiple hours of walking/standing on uneven terrain and in variable weather conditions. This person must also be trustworthy as they may be required to respond to projects and work in areas with limited supervision. They will be required to keep detailed notes for all projects and work closely with the site superintendents and project manager to ensure the success of each project.
