Desktop Support Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees. You will help troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth operations.

Duties:
- Provide desktop support services to end-users, both in person and remotely
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Set up and configure new workstations and laptops for employees
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including DNS and Active Directory
- Perform software installations, updates, and patches
- Provide technical support for Mac OS and Linux systems
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in-person regarding technical issues
- Document all support activities in the ticketing system (Remedy or similar)
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues when necessary
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and software applications
- Familiarity with Active Directory administration
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Experience with SCCM or similar remote management tools is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to provide technical support in a professional manner

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
