What does it mean to be a Funding Operations Manager with GLS?

As a Funding Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the for the management of all aspects of their assigned team. In this position, you will manage and execute programs, policies, and systems to minimize delinquency and reduce losses. In addition, this position will be responsible for hiring, training, developing, and motivating a team to achieve business goals and ensure compliance to policies.

How will you drive value within the organization as a Funding Operations Manager?
  • Oversee collections performance, quality, customer experience, and process improvement
  • Directly supervise team: hiring, evaluations, timekeeping, coaching, and goal-setting
  • Analyze reports for strategy development and lead team training
  • Ensure compliance, handle escalations, and foster a collaborative culture
  • Set departmental goals and optimize team schedules
  • Conduct vendor site visits for quality assurance, training, and policy communication


What should you already know to be successful as a Funding Operations Manager?
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in loss prevention or a related field
  • Consumer lending/auto financing experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with proven initiative, problem-solving, and follow-through
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: conflict resolution, influencing others, handling sensitive information
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Adaptable team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and motivate a team
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities


Employment Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times.
  • Talk and hear to exchange accurate information
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
  • The position does not require travel
