The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis functions at GMR and will lead or collaborate in certain strategic and productivity initiatives, e.g. new base openings, acquisition evaluation, cost controls and/or reductions and variance analysis.
Responsibilities:
- The Financial Analyst will assist Finance Team through the annual budgeting process, ensuring understanding and ownership throughout the organization.
- Helps support GMR's financial performance to ensure they are meeting their annual EBITDA targets through various tools and procedures.
- Manage the monthly close and reporting cycle for GMR with a focus on leveraging variance analysis to drive business results.
- Provide analytics in support of revenue, operational and business initiatives, including financial modeling, new contract support and ongoing business tracking and evaluation.
- Perform on-going and ad hoc reporting requirements.
Skills:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Financial Analyst or Business Analyst preferably in a Financial Planning & Analysis capacity.
- Strong proficiency in developing complex models and analytics within Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in annual budget preparation for prior/current employer(s)
- Experience in the following Finance matters:
- Building Income Statement/Capital Expenditures portion of annual plan
- Discounted cash flow (NPV & IRR) analysis model development
- Forecasting and modeling
- Accounting (some, but not necessarily an expert)
- Financial reporting Language / Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Expert in utilizing Excel.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or closely related.
- General knowledge of Corporate Accounting preferred.
- MBA preferred, but not required
Other Qualifications
- Familiarity or experience with the following systems is preferred, but not required:
- Adaptive Planning/Host Analytics - for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Workday - for human resources
- Concur - for expense report and accounts payable management
- A team player and self-starter with a willingness to collaborate.
- A strong commitment to meeting internal and external deadlines with limited supervisor
