  • SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Operations Manager
  • Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, pickup and delivery alerts.
  • Domestic freight forwarding, including alerting, routing, tracking and tracing shipments via various internet tools and updating transportation software system.
  • Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.
  • Handling White Glove Service shipments with attention to detail and standard operating procedures.
  • Pricing and quoting domestic air, ground, LTL, and Expedited
  • Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
  • Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations).
  • Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
  • Aggressive approach with carriers/partners to obtain special rates or spot quotes.
  • Obtaining vendor charges and auditing for accuracy and legitimacy.
  • Responsible for shipment follow up including obtaining pieces, weights, dimensions from agents and updating transportation software.
  • Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for client satisfaction and ensure excellent service execution.
  • Seek the most profitable mode of shipment yet meet client's requirement for the movement of freight.
  • The ability to recognize possible and existing service failures and issues and effectively communicate these situations to management or customer service as needed, offer solutions and insure customers are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Maintain familiarity with conditions that need special and accessorial charges and ensure that all costs and charges are complete and accurate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
