THE ROLE**
The Vice President of Global Partnerships, Cirque Du Soleil is responsible for leading, building and scaling the sales, strategy and development team that will drive new business partnerships (global and domestic) for Cirque Du Soleil. The individual will connect directly with key decision-makers on a regular basis to secure large scale multiyear global and national marketing and digital media partnerships with brands wishing to maximize their relationships with entertainment platforms. Tasked with generating partnership revenue and managing Cirque Du Soleil clients on a day-to-day basis the role will continue to grow in scope and include additional opportunities to help grow the business both domestic and international. The Vice President of Global Partnerships, Cirque Du Soleil will report to the Corporate Vice President of Legends Global Partnerships, West Division with accountability to the President of Legends Global Partnerships and Chief Growth Officer at Cirque du Soleil.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead new business sales efforts for partnerships domestic and globally for Cirque Du Soleil
  • Manage the overall business relationship between Cirque Du Soleil and companies wishing to maximize their relationships with high profile entertainment platforms.
  • Lead and help manage a team of sales and development professionals within Legends Global Partnerships that are accountable for the Cirque du Soleil business
  • Generate leads, drive revenue, lead contract negotiations, and work with property leaders and stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Leverage network, relationships, and cold outreach to identify potential new partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers of potential new partnerships
  • Secure meetings with potential new business decision makers to identify how Legends can partner in their success through solution-based partnerships
  • Attend weekly meetings with senior-level executives at both Legends and Cirque du Soleil and provide routine sales updates
  • Ability to quickly earn and maintain trust
  • Ability to develop strong peer-level relationships and work in a team environment and contribute to the general success of Legends across all facets, including positively representing Legends among all potential and existing clients
  • International outlook and ability to work with diverse cultures
  • Willingness to travel and work across multiple time zones as needed
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Possess an optimistic team attitude and competitive desire to be the best

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Degree in Business, Management, Sales or Marketing, required
  • 10 years of high-level partnership sales experience
  • Proven track record in closing long-term, seven figure integrated marketing partnerships
  • 3 years of management experience with a demonstrated ability to effectively lead a sales team, including developing sales strategies, managing performance, incorporating ongoing education, and providing measurable results
  • High-level relationships at large corporations, particularly companies with national and global sponsorship portfolios
  • Capacity to meet challenging sales objectives in a high profile, competitive marketplace
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and negotiating creative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of partnership programs, including content development and distribution on digital channels and platforms including OTT and social media outlets
  • Creativity to develop strategic and purpose driven marketing platforms
