Technical Lead, Automation  

Description:  

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance, leadership, and expertise to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role involves working with various cross-functional teams to configure control systems improving process performance, reliability, and safety.  

The Technical Lead is responsible for working with clients and vendors to implement project tasks with the established scope of work in alignment with project goals and objectives. This role requires industrial specific technical knowledge and programming best practices. As a manager, they must have the ability to collaborate with a team that will implement and maintain process controls in a safe, reliable, and economical operation.  

Responsibilities: 

Technical Expertise:  

Serve as a subject matter expert in the relevant technology stack, programming languages, frameworks, tools, and methodologies utilized by the team. 

Architecture and Design:  

Lead the design and architecture of software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance. 

Development:  

Actively participate in the development process, contributing high-quality code, and collaborating with team members to solve complex technical challenges. 

Mentorship and Coaching:  

Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to team members, helping to develop their skills and expertise. 

Task Allocation: 

 Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills, experience, and project requirements, ensuring an equitable distribution of workload. 

Code Reviews:  

Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, enforce best practices, and provide constructive feedback to team members. 

Technical Roadmap:  

Collaborate with stakeholders to define the technical roadmap and strategy for projects, considering business objectives, timelines, and resource constraints. 

Collaboration:  

Foster collaboration and communication within the technical team and with other stakeholders, such as product managers, designers, and QA engineers. Provide technical sales support for the Company sales team.   

Problem Solving:  

Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for technical issues, driving resolution and preventing recurrence. Able to perform programming on both PLC and DCS based platforms. Provide technical and maintenance support to existing control system platforms at Company client facilities.
