PRESS Program Manager

Global Surgical and Medical Support Group Corp
Fort Lauderdale, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 3/18/2024

The U.S. Government (USG) employs a broad-reaching diplomacy, development, and defense approach to foster interagency efforts and help negate the drivers of conflict and extremism in Africa. The AOR consists of 53 African states, more than 800 ethnic groups, over 1,000 languages, vast natural resources, a land mass of 11.2 million square miles, and nearly 19,000 miles of coastland.

Operations are conducted in the region to enhance partner nation capacity, promote regional security and stability, dissuade conflict, and protect U.S. and coalition interests. This is a critical effort to build partner capacity to counter violent extremists and support other regional security partnerships. USG works to build operational capacity, strengthen regional security and capacity initiatives, implement effective communication strategies in support of strategic objectives, and eradicate Violent Extremist Organizations (VEOs).

The Warfighter Recovery Network (WRN) is an initiative built on a cooperative effort between U.S. and partner nations working in concert to create a robust personnel recovery (PR) and casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) capability in Africa. The WRN includes a wide array of evacuation and medical capabilities that deliver injured and/or isolated personnel from Point-of-Injury (POI) to higher-level medical care. To achieve this, the US military combines efforts with contracted PR/CASEVAC services into a continent wide network capable of providing high quality care to injured or isolated personnel.
