- Translate 3D model and 2D representations of structural steel framing, connections and components to be fabricated and erected.
- Translate 3D models and 2D representations of miscellaneous steel framing, connections and accessories to be fabricated and erected.
- Communicate with project managers, architects, and engineers as needed to resolve questions and/or issues that arise in the estimating process.
Job Overview
Generate detailed takeoff’s /estimates of structural steel / miscellaneous stair, railings members and assemblies in order to price the fabrication and erection of commercial and residential steel framing.
Responsibilities Analyze and interpret architectural and structural design drawings to isolate the structural steel and miscellaneous steel components.
- Familiarity to Tekla EPM software in order to create a material takeoff.
- Translate 3D model and 2D representations of structural steel framing, connections and components to be fabricated and erected.
- Translate 3D models and 2D representations of miscellaneous steel framing, connections and accessories to be fabricated and erected.
- Communicate with project managers, architects, and engineers as needed to resolve questions and/or issues that arise in the estimating process.
Qualifications Experience in the reading and interpretation of construction drawings.
- Mathematical knowledge to be able to adjust dimensions, elevations etc. by addition or subtraction.
- Field experience with structural / miscellaneous steel erection.
- Communication skills to interact with both customers and interdepartmental stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
