GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join our team in Orlando, Florida.
The Business Analyst plays a central role in aligning the needs of the business with the capabilities within IT and serves as a liaison among the various stakeholders. This role will utilize a variety of analysis techniques and have a working knowledge of the business unit and business processes they support. The project business analyst elicits, documents, and validates business requirements following the PMO project lifecycle and collaborates with IT to translate those requirements into viable solutions. The project business analyst’s role will also include scoping and managing estimation efforts by working with internal teams to estimate project costs and timelines. This individual will be familiar with user acceptance testing and comfortable coordinating the testing efforts between stakeholders and IT teams. The BA will also be responsible for sustainment of applications in their area and will work closely with vendors and the development staff.
- Ability to translate requirements into design specifications, use cases, user stories and other functional design documents
- Understanding and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Conducts elicitation activities using various elicitation techniques
- Conducts requirements walkthroughs and obtains sign offs.
- Manages the traceability of the requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinates user acceptance testing efforts and produces required deliverables
- Develops requirements and project documentation according to our PMO standard templates and processes.
- Help troubleshoot and sustain applications for their area working closely with vendors and internal development
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT Business Analyst role
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or 3 years progressive work experience
- Must be detailed oriented with excellent problem solving skills
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have experience working successfully in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft products (Visio, SharePoint, Office, OneNote)
- Must have familiarity with software development methodologies
- A minimum of 2 full lifecycle implementations
- Must have a basic understanding of technology structures such as networks, databases, internet, etc.
- Previous hospitality or theme park experience is desirable
- Hybrid schedule, with availability to work onsite in Orlando, FL, as needed
