Summary
The Assistant Manager, FVL Accounting is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting of Revenue and Cost of the Transportation Business. This position must acquire understanding of TP Business and work collaboratively with Operations Team to provide meaningful analysis of P&L, Variance Analysis, Shipment Deviation, etc.
Responsibilities
- Manage Claim Accounts: Reconciliation, and System Enhancement
- Collaborate with Operations Claims Team and assist with Claims System Enhancement
- Collaborate with Operations Claims Team and validate Claims AR&AP Reconciliation Project
- Review and Audit Claims Invoices, specifically validate ITMS Cost Codes of Claims Services
- SAP 2nd Generation System Transition, work closely with Claims Team to make sure all ITMS Codes are mapping to the correct GL Accounts, and Claims Profitability is reported accurately
- 3PL Customer Month End Closing & Profitability Analysis
- Overseeing the Transportation business segments for Tesla, Lucid, GCI, and Exports accounts
- Responsible for guiding the completion of Revenue and Cost Accruals
- Responsible for meeting closing deadline and explaining Monthly Results
- Must acquire understanding of TP Business and work collaboratively with VL Team to provide meaningful analysis of P&L, Sales-mix, Shipment deviations, etc of TP Business
- Responsible for calculating Earned Revenue in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
- Summarize Monthly Financial Results and guide other Analysts in further investigating results
- Red Folder and Incremental Costs
- Red Folder Scenario Analysis or Contract review with Financial Remarks
- Red Folder / Business Proposals, create written and visual explanations for financial presentation using Excel or PPT
- Track Incremental Costs as estimated in Red Folder compare vs. Actual results
- Audit - CPA, Customer, or GKR
- Investigate and provide the transactions requested by auditors
- Justify company billing completion based on the term to defend the revenue and profit loss from the change
- Based on guidance from Local CPA and GKR, Financial Statements must be revisited and updated
Compensation Range
$86,000- $96,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

- Knowledge of Accrual Based Accounting Required
- Knowledge of Account Reconcilation Required
- Knowledge of Revenue and Cost Matching Required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Required
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Required
- High Critical Thinking Required
- Project Management Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Notes and Power Point Preferred
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree Required
- 6-9 Years of Direct Experience in Accounting/Finance, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Logistics Required
- 7-11 Years of Direct Experience in Accounting/Finance, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Logistics Preferred
- Supply Chain or Logistics Certification or License Preferred
