Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for accurate application and distribution of Labels and Reference Material into/onto vehicles on the VPC Line and for running Vehicle Diagnostic Tests on the VPC Line using HADS (Hyundai Automotive Diagnostic System).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Verify that B-pillar VIN and bar-code match; gather correct labels and affix them in the appropriate locations on the units.
- Identify correct labels (such as Roadside Assistance Label, Sirius Label, Load Capacity Label, etc.) and affix them in the appropriate locations on the vehicle.
- Gather correct manuals, quick reference guides, tag screws, and all corresponding hang-tags, and place them on the center console of each unit.
- Identify correct manuals, multimedia guides, quick reference guides, tag screws, corresponding hangtags, and place them in the appropriate locations of the vehicle.
- Scan vehicles and plug cable into OBD to run a diagnostic test and place receipt/result in unit.
- Manually scan the barcode visible on the Monroney in the window and plug cable into OBD.
- Place diagnostic test result receipt in unit.
- Check fluid levels, remove plastic, and check for damage or defects.
- While HADS check is running, begin the under hood inspection.
- Remove all underhood plastic and check engine area for damages or defects.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned and comply with Safety and Quality standards.
- Participate in daily startup meetings.
- Actively participate in Safety Meetings. - Maintain a safe working environment and follow all company policies and procedures.
- If needed, team member fulfills various other roles such as driving, battery testing, installing accessories (such as floor mats, cargo nets, cargo trays, etc.) within the VPC department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active State issued Driver’s License, without restrictions.
- Ability to use Scanners and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to handle simple issues drawing from past experiences.
- Must be detail oriented and safety conscious.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities.
WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.
Exposed to moving machineries such as forklifts and production equipment.
Exposed to loud noise from cars, moving forklifts, and production equipment.
Exposed to extreme temperatures and dust. Vehicle Exhaust
Exposed to the elements.
Requires flexibility with schedule including break times and working extended hours when needed. Will work an occasional weekend.

Lifting:
Ground to Waist Lift (Occasionally) up to 10lbs
Carrying:
Front Carry (Occasionally) 25 ft., carry up to 10lbs
Pushing/Pulling:
Dynamic pushing/pulling (vehicle equipment) up to 50 feet

Ambulatory Activity:
Standing/Walking (Continuously) standing on variable surfaces throughout entire shift
Sitting (Rarely) periods of sitting required at a desk and/or in front of a computer
Climbing (Rarely) in and around equipment
Stairs (Occasionally) step up/down from 15’ platform/step heights
Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling: (Occasionally) to as low as ground level while cleaning or picking up products
Repetitive use of hand/grasping: (Frequently ) light to forceful manipulating/grasping of product, use of Scanner, HADS diagnostic tools, printer.
Reaching: (Occasionally) up to 32 inches in front of body at floor to 60” heights while reaching for product.
