Summary

The Senior Manager - Environment, Health, & Safety position's main role is to ensure the company's compliance with environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, and driving sustainability initiatives. This leadership position requires strategic planning, effective communications and a deep understanding of environmental sustainability practices. They are also responsible for overseeing the implementation of ISO45001 and ISO14001 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Primary
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and supervise the EHS team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
    • Foster a culture of safety, environmental consciousness, and sustainability throughout the organization
  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards
    • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain permits and approvals as required
  • Health and Safety:
    • Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective measures
    • Provide training programs and educational resources to promote safety awareness and ensure regulatory compliance
    • ISO45001 & ISO14001 implementation
• Secondary
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to EHS performance, environmental metrics, and sustainability initiatives
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for improvement
  • Environmental Sustainability:
    • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the organization's environmental impact, conserve resources, and promote sustainable practices
    • Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and recycling programs
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability principles into business operations and decision-making processes

Compensation

$118,000- $134,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

• Strong communication, critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills required

• Ability to track and organize required

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 8 - 12Years of Experience in Safety and Environmental Programs Required
  • 10 - 15 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
• 2 Years of Indirect Experience Required
  • 4 Years of Indirect Experience Preferred
• 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
  • 7 - 10 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
• OSHA Training Required
• ESG Training Preferred
• CSP, ASP, OHST, and SMS Preferred
