We are looking for a BI Specialist to manage key aspects of the data platform build for the new Digital Direct business line. Reporting to the AVP, the BI Specialist supports the Digital Direct business with its innovative online lending platform. Responsibilities

About the role:

In this role, you will:

• Work closely with the AVP of Reporting & Analytics to design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions including data visualization dashboards and other technical modeling solutions
• Partner with various levels of project managers, data modelers, DBAs, and system administrators to build a data platform for BI The solution will extract and leverage data from disparate sources, using tools such as Python
• Contribute to the build routine management reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Conform with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate? 

• Experience and understanding of reporting, analytics and dashboards for reporting information to users
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools/platforms (for example PowerBI, Cognos, TIBCO, SF)
• Working knowledge of getting data via API calls
• Ability to bring data together from disparate sources
• Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies: SSAS, SSIS, SSRS or similar technologies
• Working knowledge with SQL Server and SQL syntax
• Should be able to effectively identify test scenarios in order to assist with systems and user testing
• Ability to troubleshoot both code and data quality issues
• Ability to work directly in a team environment with a business group to translate business requirements into reporting solutions
• Ability to work independently in agile scrums
• Ability to analyze and understand business needs and requirements in order to translate to system specifications and deliverable solutions

Education & Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, IT or Finance, or equivalent work experience required
• 1-2 years of experience building Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions preferred
• Working knowledge of LOS origination tools from Provenir, defi Solutions, or Sagent preferred
