Shift Lead - Operations

Our 24-hour, ultra-modern facility is equipped with state of the art injection molding machines designed to guarantee reproducible and dependable products of the highest quality. We are looking for a Shift Lead to perform various responsibilities as instructed by the Shift Supervisor. You will be the point person for inspecting production, communicating with staff to disseminate responsibilities, ensuring the production staff has inventory sufficient for production, and covering machines as needed. You will take instruction from the Supervisor on priority duties on a day-to-day basis. You will also need to be self-motivated to take on daily tasks that are essential to keeping production running efficiently. This role is essential to ensuring a productive environment and will need a team oriented individual to help everyone succeed. The area of responsibility for this role is wide and thus requires knowledge of various injection molding processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to perform many types responsibilities. The Shift Lead will be called upon to organize and manage their time efficiently with/without instruction and will need to have problem solving capabilities.    Essential Functions: Conduct Quality Assurance checks and ensure standards and test procedures are met Communicate effectively to participate in continuous improvement and problem solvingPerform cleaning and general maintenance tasksCover Injection Molding machines for lunch breaksPerform material control processes such as cycle counting, lot tracking and other inventory needsManage floor inventory, taking direction from the supervisor on parts being runTrain new or newly assigned employees on their job duties, responsibilities and machine instructionEnforce machine assignments as assigned by the SupervisorBasic computer skillsAbility to work in a team environmentGood written and verbal skills   Additional Responsibilities:     Job Qualifications:  General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required   High school diploma Injection Molding experience strongly preferred Good organizational and time management skills Teamwork Self-motivated Detail Oriented Ability to lift 50lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time
