Position Description
We are currently seeking an experienced, and dedicated professional in the field of HIV prevention, treatment, and care – specifically among the LGBTQ population. The Trainer will be responsible for conducting needs assessment within the priority population, designing, implementing, and evaluating training for health and human service professionals and GMHC clients. Additionally, the Trainer will support periodic development, and updating of curricula in collaboration with the Lead Trainer and other team members.
Essential Job Functions
The following duties are mandatory requirements of the job:

Facilitate webinars and in-person trainings in various locations throughout the city on LGBTQ, HIV, and aging issues.

Prepare and submit monthly reporting documents for all workshops and trainings conducted monthly.

Create and update internal tracking tools for all training activities.

Support with periodic reviews, and adaptations on existing curricula to reflect the latest advances in LGBTQ care, HIV, and aging in collaboration with other trainers.

Assess training needs of health and human service providers throughout the city via formal and informal informational surveys, attend local and regional meetings and conduct individual stakeholder interviews.

Conduct research in various topics with emphasis on knowledge, skills and attitudes required to promote effective service delivery.

Conduct Train-the-Trainers workshops aimed at improving service systems for LGBTQ seniors.

Mobilize, coordinate, and implement training events; scheduling, securing space and maintaining training calendar.

Attend, trainings, and conferences approved and/or required by the agency and/or the funder.
Other Responsibilities
The following duties are to be performed as assigned by the supervisor:

Assist with CQI Projects, Dashboard Management and special projects as assigned.

Prepare monthly reports.

Education and Certification

Bachelor’s degree required.
-
Master’s degree preferred in Community Health, Social Work or Public health.

Demonstrated experience in conducting Trainings, community health organizing and health promotion, and network building.

Knowledge of LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS; familiarity with affected communities and confidentiality laws

Strong organizational and people skills.
Use of computer software - - Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
