POSITION PURPOSE

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) works within the Sales and Marketing departments to qualify and present opportunities (leads) to be transitioned to the sales engine of GlobalSign. This position supplements corporate lead generation activities with calls and emails into targeted accounts to identify and qualify prospects. The Sales Development Representative position is a critical and highly visible position that requires a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, outbound prospecting, discovery and individual research via the web and social media along with inbound leads from website chat engine.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing teams to pass qualified leads and ensure an ideal handoff of qualified prospects.
  • Responds to inbound inquiries, registrations, chats, and other contact collection methods executed by Marketing demand generation activities by telephone, e-mail, live chat.
  • Execute consistent outbound activities (calls, emails, etc.) to engage potential sales targets identified as strong fit for GlobalSign solutions.
  • Target lists provided by marketing and/or related to current campaign execution
  • “Top 20” account targets provided by individual sales reps
  • Other ad hoc lists based on recent industry trends, security events, etc.
  • Cultivates initial engagement with prospects in order to generate a qualified opportunity by asking qualification questions to understand customer requirements and quote appropriate products and services to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Follow up on suspect opportunities and conduct research to identify and further qualify potential prospects.
  • Enter prospects into automated marketing nurturing campaigns as necessary.
  • Meets KPI’s surrounding number of qualified opportunities (leads) each month.
  • Works with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals across assigned markets.
  • Works closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to provide feedback about demand generation program in order to make recommendations to improve qualification requirements and streamline the lead hand-off process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with 3-5 years of sales experience and a strong aptitude for selling technical products.
  • Proficient in LinkedIn, Salesforce, RainKing, CRM software and MS Office.
  • Addresses customer problem-solving by accessing the appropriate resources rather than assuming customer technical expertise.
  • Properly identifies and offers technical products and solutions.
  • Have excellent discovery abilities.
  • Uses effective resources and time management techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to regularly meet or exceed identified lead goals.
  • Practices listening and responds in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail and be able to exercise good judgement.
  • Work is performed in a timely manner, volume of work meets expectations.
  • Continually assesses priorities and properly organizes work and resources to meet needs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
