As a leader in the industry, we are rapidly growing and looking for a Work Order Coordinator to join our exciting team in a fast-paced environment in Rhome, TX. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role works with multiple departments within the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should be proactive, resourceful, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Create all work orders for manufacturing operations for projects, including but not limited to BOMs, revisions and routings.
- Create/deliver project travelers to manufacturing for production.
- Update projects with modifications/change orders.
- Update schedules with manufacturing dates necessary to complete order for customer ship date.
- Coordinate with departments resolving issues with jobsite deliveries.
- Track all aspects of travelers on production floor.
- Enter labor time against work order.
- Reconcile labor time entries.
- Release work orders to shop floor in order of priority in collaboration with Production, Purchasing, Project Management, Sales.
- Answer all questions/issues from the shop floor regarding work orders or drawings.
- Act as technical expert for shop tablets verifying data entered from shop employees is accurate.
- Understand the daily production needs of manufacturing to guarantee high machine utilization with profitable customer relationships.
- Enter Sales Orders upon release.
- Assist purchasing in issuance of purchase orders.
- Follow up on purchase order deliveries with vendors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience in MRP/ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
- Strong organizational and communication skills required.
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment with attention to detail
- Ability to change direction with multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily based in an office environment with some time spent in the manufacturing facility, and regular working hours are expected. However, flexibility may be required to accommodate special projects or urgent tasks.
