As we grow and evolve, we’re looking for additional team members who share our values. Currently, Go Graphix is seeking a Production Assistant for our Sign Fabrication and Large Format Printing department. In this position, you’ll bring your energy, creative solutions, attention to detail and enthusiasm for the trade to all aspects of the department.

In this position, you’ll be running large format printers (flatbed, dye sub and roll to roll), heat press, plotters, laminators and a CNC machine. As a team player, you must be willing to jump in to help whenever needed. Creative solutions, knowledge of professional touches and detailed finish-work is a must.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare media and substrates for printing, cutting, laminating, mounting, etc.

- Run CNC machine.

- Weed excess vinyl from plotted images; apply vinyl to substrates, assemble canvas wraps to frame, etc.

- Help unload raw materials and continuously maintain a neat and clean work area.

- Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

- Help maintain equipment and perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.

- Be a team player. Establish effective relationships with other teammates in a professional manner.

- Customer Service-oriented. You do what it takes to get the job done for our clients. This includes staying late when required, sometimes without much notice.

- From time to time, perform basic onsite and offsite installations and site surveys as needed.

- Actively seek to continuously learn and grow skills through research, periodicals, Google, YouTube videos, networking, etc. Enthusiastically bring new ideas and solutions to the organization.

Skills and Experience:

- One year of experience in a sign, print or frame shop, large format printing, or exhibit house.

- Experience with large format printers and plotters preferred.

- Experience with Onyx RIP Software, Mimaki Rasterlink, or equivalent a plus.

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products such as Illustrator a plus.

- Positive “can do” attitude, excellent “get it done” work ethic, and desire to have fun while making a difference.

- Ability to problem solve, work well independently as well as in a group, ability to multi-task.

- Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa).

- Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.

- Ability to stand for at least 90% of the daily shift.

- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.

- Able to use light power equipment and tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
