Job Details

Seeking a Software Integration Engineer to support enterprise-scale applications and tech platforms. Will play a crucial role in ensuring that software systems & components work seamlessly together through participating in planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing integration using secure and cost-effective strategies, and provide post deployment support to end users.

Duration:12-month contract/through 6-30-25
Work location: Columbus (hybrid-onsite 2 days a week)
**Must currently reside within a 30-mile radius of Columbus**

Education:
-4-year college diploma or university degree in computer science or computer engineering, with advanced study preferred, or equivalent technical study.

Skills/experience:
-At least 10 yrs. direct exp. creating enterprise-level integration across a diverse technical environments & cross-platform technologies, both internal and external systems, ensuring data quality and privacy protection.
-At least 10 yrs. of exp. designing and building web services and API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST, JSON, and data integration.
-Direct, hands-on exp. with Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle automated integration tools.
-Extensive knowledge of relational database design & management techniques, especially with Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle DB s.
-At least 10 yrs. of Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server exp.
-At least 10 yrs. of .NET Web Forms.
-At least 10 yrs. of MVC experience.
-At least 10 yrs. of .NET Core experience.
-At least 10 yrs. of Angular 5 and above, Bootstrap, jQuery experience.
-At least 10 yrs. of Python, C or Java, XML, EDI or OBI, Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
-At least 3 yrs. Azure DevOps exp.

-Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Strong experience in creating good solutions w/o mature, detailed, codified business requirements.

-Work productively and effectively independently without significant management oversight.

Responsibilities:
This position will function as a highly skilled software and data integration engineer with specific responsibilities that include:

-Integration Planning: Collaborating with development and business unit teams to gather, define, and analyze integration requirements and objectives, translate into technical specifications and system architecture, and ensure that all systems are integrated to meet business and functional requirements.

-Systems Analysis: Analyze existing systems and understand their functionalities and data structures, identify integration points and dependencies between different systems.

-Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve integration issues, including debugging code and analyzing log files, collaborating with other teams to address cross-functional integration challenges.

-Collaboration and Communication: Use excellent written and verbal communication skills to produce technical and operational documentation that explains integrations to technical and non-technical users; Collaborates with cross-functional teams including developers, system architects, business analysts and business owners to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions.

-Deployment and Maintenance: Oversee the deployment of integration solutions into production environments, providing ongoing support and maintenance for integrated systems.

-Continuous improvement: Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in integration, proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing integrations and proposes enhancements. Encourages diversity of thought and creative problem solving.

-Middleware Development: Design and develop middleware components (APIs) to facilitate communication between systems; implement data transformation and mapping logic to ensure compatibility between different data formats; Leverage database structure and optimize data storage and retrieval processes for efficient reporting and data management.

-Coding and Scripting: Write code or scripts to implement integration solutions, using programming languages (ex: Java, Python, C#) or integration tools to build connectors and interfaces.

-Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of integration solutions to identify and resolve issues, ensure that integrated systems meet performance, reliability, scalability, and security requirements and standards.
