Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Teach and reinforce basic skills such as math, literacy, and social development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive classroom behavior
- Ensure the health and safety of all students in accordance with school policies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Proficiency in math, literacy education, and other relevant subjects
- Understanding of child welfare and development principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective parent communication
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and record keeping
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively
