Intro/Program Description: Goddard Riverside invests in people & strengthens community, serving more than 20,000 people throughout New York City with a variety of programs for all ages. Goddard is a partner within the Manhattan Outreach Consortium (MOC) a borough-wide initiative to serve the unsheltered community. The Uptown team serves the UWS and UES of Manhattan and collaborates with various community partners and healthcare agencies throughout Manhattan. The catchment area includes W. 59th – W. 110th Street & E. 59th – E. 96th Street, river to river.

Purpose of Position: Night Weekend Team is looking for a dynamic individual who will work with the Program Director to ensure the quality and integrity of all activities. The Team Supervisor will provide administrative assistance, support, and staff supervision. This person must be innovative, creative, detailed oriented, strengths based, with organizational skills that will promote a proactive, high energy work ethic and positive work environment.

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, Saturday (overnight) 10pm to 6:00 am 

Salary Range: $62,250.00 - $64,750.00

Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

Clinical oversight

• Responsible for leading, managing and developing a diverse outreach team comprised of union and non-union employees.
• Proactively work to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
• Ensure that evidence-based practice models including person centered planning, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approach are utilized.
• Monitor outreach teams in the field as needed to assess services performed.
• Coordinate and oversee canvassing of specific areas with a high concentration of street homeless clients.
• Facilitate the day-to-day operations and administration of the program, comprised of outreach staff and dispatchers. Lead daily shift changes and weekly communications and updates.
• Collaborate with other managers and staff within MOC.
• Manage and respond to e-mail correspondences regarding assignments/locations as requested by Department of Homeless Services/Manhattan Outreach Consortium (DHS/MOC) administrators.
• Manage Daily Assignments as reflected within the MOC electronic system.
• Manage and complete all Code Red/Code Blue statistical data via spreadsheets.
• Review and approve daily progress notes submitted by workers into the MOC data base for Quality Assurance
• Manage data entries into DHS' StreetSmart System
• Manage and review vehicle checklist to ensure the proper maintenance and usage of company vehicles.
• Ensure quality and integrity of services and program.

Operational/Administrative Support

• Submit monthly Encampment Reports
• Manage schedule, staff hours, and payroll.
• Review and manage all aspects of data entries (Progress Notes, StreetSmart, Shift-reports, etc.)
• Responsible for onboarding and training new employees.
• Conduct monthly supervisions and team meetings.
• Staff development and discipline as needed in collaboration with management and HR.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• LMSW required.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working with persons experiencing homelessness required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn data base systems, such as StreetSmart, MOCAP

Physical Requirements

• Frequent sitting and standing
• Computer work
• Occasional lifting

Work Environment

• Indoors and outdoors; all weathers
• Flexible schedule needed: day, overnight and weekend hours as needed.
• Ability to participate in four overnight quarterly counts per year.
• Work primarily out of lower Manhattan location.
