The Goddard School in Shawnee is looking for an Assistant Toddler Teacher who is passionate about children and creating a loving, play-based learning environment. We are committed to providing a nurturing childcare environment coupled with an education focus.
The Assistant Infant Teacher would support the classroom routines that the Lead Teacher has established. This teacher would work with our 1 year old children.
Daily Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing environment based on KS and Goddard health and safety standards.
- Support learning and play based activities appropriate for infants.
- Able to complete the physical requirements necessary to support the activities in the room (bending, sitting on the floor, safely lifting infants, etc).
- Communicate professionally with parents via daily communication platform, phone calls, and in-person conversations.
- Work in a team teaching environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Prior childcare or daycare experience a plus
