What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Worker/Driver position at Goedecke?
Summary/Objective
Goedecke is looking for enthusiastic, customer facing employees to support the smooth day to day operations of the distribution center including receiving, storing, and transportation of materials. The position requires employees to work in a variety of weather conditions. This position is outside all year round.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Regularly required to left 10-50 lbs.
- Assist with loading and unloading of merchandise using Fork truck.
- Check in and put away concrete forming and shoring
- Read, pick and pack customer, transfer and rental orders.
- Check and identify PO numbers and labels to ensure order accuracy.
- Move merchandise or supplies using Forklift. (Forklift license preferred not required).
- Maintain and manage inventory control.
- Ensure merchandise is organized and accessible by keeping shelves, pallet and work area clean neat.
- Limited facilities work may be required including but not limited to sweep, dust and mop.
- Must follow all safety policies and requirements.
- Use of misc. hand tools.
- Ability to regularly lift 0-50 lbs., occasionally lifting and/or moving items that weigh more than 50 lbs. with assistance from other yard workers
- Miscellaneous duties as they arise.
Position/Hours
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 40 hours per week.
