Assembler/Production

Primary responsibilities:

• Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
• Position items under needles, using guides or measuring devices.
• Replace spools of thread, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.
• Match vinyl pieces in correct sequences prior to sewing them, and verify that dye lots and patterns match.
• Guide curtain or partitions parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.
• Start and operate industrial sewing machines, such as single or double needle machines, to automatically join, reinforce the vinyl material.
• Fasten assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and verify finished product measurements
• Maintain inventory stock levels via requisitions to department lead
• Other duties as required

Abilities, Skills and Experience Requirements:

1. Basic ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

2. Strong mechanical aptitude with prior manufacturing/light assembly experience preferred

3. Experience with various power and hand tools

4. Must be able to accurately read and use various measuring devices

5. Ability to read prints is helpful

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
